ArtIst in MotIon
The annual, competitive brian d. siewert "Artist In Motion" Scholarship is granted to a graduating Lakeshore High School senior pursuing a passion and higher education in ANY field of the arts. The winner receives $10,000 and is decided by a jury of artistic professionals on the student's display of both commitment and excellence in their chosen art form.
*New for 2024: "Entrepreneurial Arts" just added as a qualifying field. Think "Shark Tank" Business minds welcome!

The scholarship was born in 2008 with the invaluable assistance of Lakeshore Excellence Foundation (LEF) Founder and past President David Brockway.
"I called this amazing man and asked if he could help me bring this idea to give back to LHS to life. Boy, did he deliver! Dave is truly my co-architect and served as an incredibly tough but fair member of the jury board for the first five years of the scholarship's existence. I'm not sure it would've happened without this generous and sweet man, whose vision and collective efforts have generated millions to the benefit of Lakeshore students during his many years in leadership with the LEF and beyond."
David passed away in 2018.
